Not all Auto insurance policies are the same even though people would like to think they are. Here is an example of one difference.

You buy a newer car from a local used car dealer with 20,000 miles on it. You drive your car to work and park it in the lot. Soon after, you get a call from security that there is smoke rolling out from under the hood. The fire department has already been called and they arrive at the same time you do. You pop open the hood and they find that there is only smoke coming from the wiring harness. It looks like a toaster wire in places. (It will do this if a short occurs and the current from the battery will cause this to happen) The fire department empties a couple of extinguishers on the smoke until it quits and they leave.

Air Traffic Controllers Strike Makes Spanish Travelers Grateful for Trip Cancellation Insurance

In Spain, travelers with scheduled flights recently found an unpleasant surprise; air trraffic controllers throughout the country had gone on strike, wreaking havoc on the country’s air travel scheduling. For travelers who had purchased trip cancellation insurance in advance of their trip, while this strike certainly caused a logistical problem, they could at least take solace in the fact their travel investment was safe.

Airspace was shut down last Saturday at Spain’s AENA airport due to the air traffic controllers strike. The weekend was specifically chosen because it was a busy holiday travel weekend.
